Reporting according to GRI guidelines

Vantaa Energy has published a corporate social responsibility report since 2002. In our reporting, we comply with the international Global Reporting Initiative guidelines.

Since 2009, we have reported on corporate social responsibility only online. We utilise the Internet’s possibilities for diverse, multi-layered communications, and we have given up the traditional trisection into economic, social and environmental responsibility.

The reporting covers the economic, social and environmental impacts of Vantaa Energy Ltd and its subsidiaries Vantaa Energy Electricity Networks Ltd and Vantaan Aviaenergia. The report includes only the main points of the operations of the associated companies.

We provide a diverse report on climate change issues and highlight Vantaa Energy’s significant climate deed, the waste-to-energy plant, which is scheduled for completion in 2014.

The report has been verified by an outside expert, Inspecta Sertifiointi Oy.
